This 1 day course covers all of the essential maintenance and operation requirements to allow a person to safely operate a manually fed wood chipper.

This City & Guilds NPTC Integrated Training and Assessment course will cover the following information that will fulfil the assessment criteria for qualification 0020-57.

Learning outcomes:

• Know the health and safety requirements for operating a wood-chipper
• Be able to carry out a risk assessment on site
• Be able to prepare the equipment and site for wood-chipping operations
• Be able to operate a wood-chipper
• Carry out maintenance on a wood-chipper

This course is Integrated Training and Assessment which allows the Instructor to assess during the training course.
