Tree Climbing CS38 UA2.3 Chainsaw Training
The 2 day UA2 course covers the following units:
UA2.1 Tree Species Recognition, Growth Characteristics and Associated Hazards.

This in-depth course is delivered in both a classroom and on site setting. The content of this course covers the following points:

  • Identify tree species
  • Identify growth characteristics
  • Identify hazardous trees and branches

Pre-requisites: UA1

UA2.2 Use of approved insulated tools & assisted felling.
 

This practical course combines your previous tree felling with the use of assisted felling techniques using non return system and the use of insuklated rods for pruning trees away from over-head power lines. A large part of this course is covering in-depth approved procedures for live line tree work.

Content includes:

  • Prune trees safely from the ground in proximity to overhead power lines
  • Fell Trees using Assissted Felling Techniques
  • Live Line approved procedures

Pre requisites: UA1 , CS30, CS31

UA2.3 Prune trees aerial. For climbing operations in proximity of overhead live lines

This element of the UA2 suite covers the requirements of climbing and pruning trees in proximity to over head lines. The course will cover the industry recognised and approved work procedures for live line tree work, the installation of climbing systems, safe aerial pruning, including pruning techniques to allow a successful candidate to be a climbing utility arborist.

  • Live Line approved procedures

Pre requisites: CS30,31,38,39,40, and UA 1

This is an independently assessed course with the assessment taking place on a separate day.

The cost of this training course is £325 +VAT + assessment £295  = Total: £685
