At Brampton Valley Training we deliver this advanced Level 3 Aerial Tree Rigging course over 5 days with the independent assessment being undertaken on a separate day.
This course covers the use of the chainsaw and lowering equipment working from a rope and harness in conjunction with a ground person in medium sized open grown trees. It also includes the use of climbing irons.
This course covers all of the requirements as per the City & Guilds NPTC assessment schedule to prepare the candidate to undertake the assessment for CS41. As this is a five day course; as well as covering the content of the City & Guilds NPTC assessment schedule we also undertake advanced rigging methods including speed-lining.
These advanced techniques will allow qualified climbers to transfer loads from within the crown of the tree they are dismantling over a target to a drop zone away from the tree.
Learning outcomes for this course:
1. Identify, inspect and comment upon key parts of the equipment to be used
2. Prepare the equipment for use ensuring the safety of themselves, other people and the environment
3. Comment upon the structure, condition and properties of the tree(s) to be worked upon
4. Use a chainsaw and other pruning tools whilst maintaining a working position within the crown of a tree using a rope and harness in conjunction with ground staff
The cost of this course is £550 +VAT (£110) Assessment £185 including NPTC Fees. Total: £845
